My best friend and I got in a HUGE fight!

Updated: May 5, 2020

Normally I wouldn't want to air my dirty laundry like this but I thought it was so relevant and helpful, I just couldn't NOT share.

If you have had any relationships in your life (I know you all have) whether it's with a friend, family member, or significant other you know relationships are hard.

The other day my friend and I had just finished a run at the gym and were about the walk over to lift some weights when she asked me a simple question. My immediate thought was “she is accusing me of something.” So out of anger, I yelled at her and hurt her feelings.

We got into a fight in the middle of the weight room and ended up leaving the gym, not finishing our workout, because of the fight. It was so embarrassing and could have all been prevented if i had done one thing.

Control my thoughts. Your thoughts lead to your emotions and your emotions lead to your actions.

If I had not let the initial thought control my emotions and actions we would not have been in that situation. I heard someone once say “You can't control your first thought but you can control your second thought.”

Be aware of our thoughts and emotions. When we take control of our thoughts and master our mind we take control of our lives.

xo, Steph
